This website is operated by Wakarimu Savings & Credit Co-operative Society Limited. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The content on this website is published for general information about the society and its products. It does not constitute financial advice, and it is not an offer of credit or of any other financial product.

Membership, savings and lending are governed by the Co-operative Societies Act, the society's by-laws, and the terms set out in the forms you sign. Where this website and those documents differ, the signed documents and the by-laws prevail.

The loan calculator

The loan calculator produces an estimate for planning purposes only, using the reducing-balance method and the society's published limits. It does not take account of your full circumstances, and it does not guarantee that a loan will be approved.

Your actual amount, rate, repayment period and instalment are determined by the Credit Committee and the Executive Committee following appraisal, and are subject to available liquidity, your deposits, your guarantors' deposits and the society's lending capacity.

Rates, fees and product details

Interest rates, fees, multipliers and minimum contributions are reviewed from time to time and may change. Please confirm the figures applicable to your loan category with our office at the time of application.

Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free from error. We may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Intellectual property

The Wakarimu Sacco name, emblem, and the content of this website are owned by the society or used with permission. You may not reproduce them for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Regulatory status

Wakarimu Sacco is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act, registration number CS/5626, and is supervised by the Commissioner for Co-operative Development. The society operates a BOSA — Back Office Service Activity model, does not operate a Front Office Service Activity (FOSA), and is therefore not licensed by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts and the dispute-resolution provisions of the Co-operative Societies Act.
